Fire Recovery Fund for Joelly

Joelly Juarez, a NYU undergraduate student, daughter, sister, and beloved friend, woke up to a distinct smell of smoke on Saturday morning.  She immediately jumped out of bed, grabbed her passport and wallet and ran into her roommate’s room to wake her up.  They both fled the scene, leaving behind all their personal belongings and their little kitten, whom they could not find.  Flames had broken out in their apartment building. 

Luckily, Joelly is alive but all of her clothes, shoes, toiletries, furniture, appliances, school books, school supplies and personal belongings all perished in the fire.

The people that love and know Joelly cannot imagine the emotional weight she is left carrying.  She is currently finishing up her last semester at NYU.  She left her family four years ago on the west coast to study in New York.  She is alone in a city, without any family members around.   

I am asking you to please open your hearts in aiding Joelly with any amount of donation you can provide at this time. Our love and prayers are with Joelly Juarez and her family; anything you can give will help. There is so much she will have to deal with now and I would love to help ease that burden so she can focus on finishing up her last year at NYU. 

Please share this with everyone you know.  Joelly has always been an extremely kind-hearted, hard working, and generous young lady.  She currently interns for IBM in their Research Marketing Department and was in the middle of interviewing for a Data Science position out of college.  She loves to be busy and even has found time to freelance for a company called HigherDOSE in NYC.  We love you Joelly, we know you will overcome this tragedy.
