Fire Destroys Om Café - Tragedy Hits Again

On April 13th 2024, 5:00 am Sunanda, my cousin/sister and owner of Om Café in Bocas Del Toro, Panama received the devastating call that her restaurant is on fire! Just 2 weeks prior to her officially closing her doors and opening a new adventure for OM. This is the 2nd time OM has been demolished. In 2021 she was hit by a hurricane like storm. But was rebuilt with the help of the donations and support from the community.

Sunanda must take this devastating loss as yet another hit during the already low tourist season, and with no insurance to help cover any losses.

Bocas del Toro is a small remote island that depends solely on their tourism industry, which was already going through its hardships and has little to no resources to help rebuild these small unique businesses.

Please help me help her recover with love, support and prayers. Donations are welcomed if you have the means to spare a few dollars during these tough times. Every bit will go a long way to helping Sunanda help her pay for remaining wages of staff. replacement of equipment and spices and to start over.
