My name is Debbie and I’m writing to tell you about the kindest most loving and gentle soul, an active cat rescuer with the feral cat coalition, a mobile pet groomer here in San Diego CA, John C.
John just purchased a mobile pet grooming trailer and has lost it in a fire. John did not have insurance on it yet he was planning on that once he setup the trailer and was ready to hit the road. I am starting a campaign to try and give John’s dream another chance.
Possibly the best way to describe John’s love for animals and his dedication to his field is to direct you to read his reviews on yelp and read one of his moments on next door. Once you have read those I’m convinced you will feel as I do about this gentle soul who lives to help others.
About a year ago John’s father died and left him a very small inheritance and John worked and saved to buy his recently purchased used mobile pet grooming trailer. John was only about a week away from restarting his business when it burned because of a gas fire.
John has been grooming with a truck he bought in 2019 but that vehicle took a turn for the worst and he hasn’t been able to get back in the road until his father died and left him a little bit of capital.
John has been rescuing cats with the feral coalition for over 17 years and has helped thousands of animals. He gives without any regards for his own well being.
I am his friend and it breaks my heart to see how defeated John feels right now.
After the fire while John was being examined by paramedics he kept repeating “who’s going to groom the cats no one will touch them but me and there’s a lot with matted hair” ! He already had appointments lined up for the coming weeks for some really desperate cats and even at a time like this all he could think about were them and his own cats and dog.
I am asking all of you to help John get back to helping all the cats and dogs they desperately need his help. There aren’t many of him around and these poor animals need someone like John. Not many are willing to groom cats but John always laughs and says, “I don’t know why groomers won’t groom cats they can be a lot easier than dogs”. He loves cats and if you read his yelp reviews I think you will see that.
