Celebrating Eco-Design at Findhorn

In 1978 I attended a Findhorn experience week, in the oldest eco-village, FINDHORN, Scotland (now 55 years old!). This summer, 2018, I participated again for a week workshop on eco-village life. During the workshop, I fell in love with the concept of PERMACULTURE: People Care, Earth Care and Fare Share. I have been a Body-Psychotherapist for 35 years and have rich knowledge and experience of caring for people. I facilitate private sessions and Skype phone sessions, workshops and, for 16 years I have directed three-year professional trainings through the non-profit Unergi School for Holistic Therapy. I created the modality of Unergi (unity and energy) which weaves the Alexander Technique, Gestalt Therapy, and Unergi Core movement with Art Therapy and the Healing Forces of Nature. Body, mind, emotions, creativity, and nature are profoundly integrated so that SPIRIT and the ONENESS of ALL LIFE become the practitioner’s and client's everyday experience. Unergi is fully described in my book, Stuck is Not a Place (The forward was written by Candace Pert, PhD.).
Three years ago through the blessing of a successful GoFundMe campaign, I built a beautiful studio in my backyard where I teach creativity and body/mind/spirit awareness. From all of this work, I have understood that there is a deep connection between how we treat our bodies and how we treat the Earth and our connection to her. This is why I am inspired to study PERMACULTURE, ECO-DESIGN, and SOCIOCRACY. I can see that this is the way forward to Social, Ecological, and Economic change that will be a growing edge structure for crafting self-sustainability. Meeting kindred spirits and visionaries for a new future that are already miles ahead will give me the tools to envision and manifest ways to transcend my current level of service and to explore what I can achieve in participating in eco-design.
MY LONG TERM VISION is to build a self-sustainable Eco Village, hopefully in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA, with deeply engaged, self-responsible,and heart centered people who stand for ‘core values and clear principles, all to transition from an age of separation to an age of reconnection’ (‘Permaculture’).

My greatest desire is to be an active integral part of living authentically on the Earth at this time and giving the children of the next generation the building blocks for a healthy self-sustainable future that works by co-creating with Gaia.
It is clear that my journey’s best beginning will be in attending the eco-design and training conference at Findhorn. It’s a five week involvement of studies, a unique event with a worldview of the available knowledge in self-sustainable living. To make this possible, I need to ‘find’ a minimum of $8500 to cover the course, travel, and my basic living expenses. If I receive more than this amount it will go into a seed money fund for future eco-village expenses.

I want to share with you one of the ways I have recently found to give back: The new “Global Self Healing Village” website (https://globalselfhealingvillage.com) initiates a global network where people can post for free their innovations of all kinds—original art, dance, music, performance, etc. I envision the extraordinary creativity of the human spirit saving the world as we come all together and one after the other.
As part of this website, I have designed the Monergy Workshop where we examine our beliefs about money and energy as well as what can change and transform in order to create a compassionate capitalism within a society of service and kindliness. I imagine this vision merges with Findhorn’s Sociocracy and Permaculture principles.
