Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

The Abdulkadir Hassen Family is raising funds to complete our family mosque in Daleti, Ethiopia.

This land has been in our family for five generations. For 17 long years, we fought to reclaim it after it was taken by the government.

Alhamdulillah, with patience and perseverance, Allah returned this land to us. What better way to honour this blessing than by dedicating it to a mosque — a house of Allah that will serve the community for generations to come.

The structure is nearly complete, with only a few finishing touches remaining: painting, carpets, the ceramic roof, and other final works, in shaa Allah. Once complete, this mosque will be a place for daily prayers, Jumu’ah, Qur’an classes, and community gatherings.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

This is a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) — every prayer, Qur’an recitation, and act of worship that takes place here will bring ongoing reward for all who contribute, even after they have returned to Allah.
