Memorial Service for Clarence Clere Jr.

Donation protected
My name is Brandi. I am trying to raise money to help with my uncle's final wishes to be a realization. He had cancer and left us way too soon.   He asked my cousins and I for a nice memorial service and he wanted the family to come together and go fishing. Our uncle, his brother and sister as well took all decisions for final wishes away from us kinds and there was nothing in writing. We have decided to give him the memorial service this coming spring 2021.  We need as much help as possible to have this memorial and anyone who could find it in their hearts to help would be so much appreciated. I have never had to do anything like this before and this man is like a dad to me.

I couldn't help with a lot and I was robbed of spending time with him for the last few months of his life due to Covid-19. He spent that time in a nursing home believing he was completely alone because the family who knew where he was, was too selfish to share that information with those of us who had wanted to visit him. He was in there from July until he passed away at the end of September with me being his first visitor since he was put in there!! The only contact the doctors and nurses had to our family was my other uncle whom they said never even answered the phone. They'd spoken to him twice since my Uncle Jr was admitted. He didn't get a chance to spend time with any of us or his own children and was unable to even speak because of the medication they had him on. All I want to do now is give him the memorial service he asked for with the family and friends who were always there for him and wish they had known where he was for the last two months of his life.

Clarence Clere was born November 28, 1961. He served in the Navy and he was a mechanic at a cab service in Delaware, Ohio for over a decade. He loved fishing and root digging. He loved his four biological children and was a great dad to many of his nieces and nephews as well as his step children.  Clarence Clere was a great man with a heart of gold.  He was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in 2019 after being treated for a whole different type of cancer for almost a year!! By the time he was diagnosed, he was much too frail to withstand anymore chemo to treat the actual cancer he did have.

If you can find it in your heart to help me give him what he wanted, we would all be very grateful. We are planning the memorial service for June 2021 at a nice camp nearby with a pond to fish in. There is also a playground and trails through the woods there and I know he would have loved it.
