Final Desperation - I Thank You

Donation protected

First, I have to thank all of the good people – the friends, the family, the Fraternity Brothers, and all of the others who may have helped on their urging – over the past year and a half.  Ever since I lost my leg, I have been overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness that so many have people shared with me to help me get my life back.  Having the wound on my remaining leg which requires extensive weekly care has caused numerous problems as well.

Through all of it, I have worked hard to remain grateful and positive. I have had some progress but have also suffered several setbacks.  Over the Summer it became obvious that I was going to have to apply for Social Security Disability for the short term if not permanently.  While it was my intention to regain my independence and one day thrive again, the struggle has proved too much and the setbacks too many.  I have to finally admit that I cannot do it on my own and I have failed to recover.  I have disappointed many.  I have disappointed myself.  I am close to being approved for SSD, according to my lawyer, but as of this moment, I am in severe danger.  I have been notified of EVICTION proceedings against me, and it looks that as of October 7, I will be homeless – any of my belongings will be seized and put in storage and if I do not pay to get them, I lose everything (not that I have much of value).  Also, as of October 4, my power will be shut off.  (I will call my Doctor tomorrow to see if she can send a letter to get me another month’s reprieve).

I do not know when my SS benefits might kick in, but it won't be soon enough to keep me from ending up on the street.

There’s no way I can come up with the $2100 I owe for rent to keep me in my apartment.

My situation is URGENT and DIRE.

My last ditch effort is to BEG you all one more time out of complete DESPERATION to help me, and to spread new of my plight so that others with the means might be able to assist.

I’m afraid.  I just don’t know what to do.  I have no fight in me.  I am sorry for disappointing everyone.  Please, if you are able to help me in any way, please help.  I cannot express how badly I feel right now.

Anything given will be used to solve my immediate problems w/ bills and to assist me as I wait for Social Security Disability assistance.  And I promise that when I am able, I will Pay it Forward.

I love you all.
