Filter of Hope Mission Trip

Hey everyone, I want to thank you for clicking on this gofundme. I'd like to raise $1700 to travel to the Dominican Republic to participate in the Filter of Hope mission trip that is partnering with Cru Ministries. This will be a week-long trip, helping the locals set up water filters and telling them the story of God and how our walk of faith has changed our lives for the better.

$200 - will go towards water filters that we would hand construct for the locals. These water filters will last 10 YEARS, and $200 could come to be around 5 filters.

$750 - will go towards my room and board

$750 - fund my flight to the Dominican Republic

Anything extra raised past the goal will go towards EVEN MORE filters for the locals. Stories about how they've never had clean water before, drinking tea-colored water their whole life. I've heard that on previous mission trips, they encountered locals who were drinking yellow-green water, almost like Gatorade.

I like to connect this mission statement with John 4:13-14, the story when Jesus encountered a woman from Samaria drawing water from a well at noon: 

Jesus said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give will never be thirsty again."

I have until the end of April 2021 to raise these funds, so I'm starting early! Would you be able to help me spread the Lord's word? The locals, me, and the Lord would be grateful to everyone who could contribute any amount.
