FILL THE TRUCK FOR HOUSTON!

Fill The Truck For Houston is a movement started by a small independent trucking company owner (Alix Burton) with assistance from humanitarian (Talia Harrison). We have strong ties to the community of Atlanta and are willing to utilize our trucks to send help to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Last year, we did two similar events for those affected by the water crisis in Flint Michigan (see the hashtag #fillthetruckforflint on IG for pics and videos). We got the entire city to come out and donate over 600,000 cases of water in just two days.
We have the support and drive to do it all over again. This time, we want to do it even bigger. We are sending two to three 18-wheelers with well needed items for the people who are affected by this tragedy.
We are not affiliated with any other organizations, like the Red Cross or FEMA. Our method is simple — put the word out to the city of Atlanta, fill the trucks up and bring them DIRECTLY to the people of Texas. We are in contact with multiple sources and shelters in the Houston area and have the drivers in place to deliver to them.
On Saturday, September 9th, we will be staging our trucks at 4950 Peachtree industrial blvd Atlanta, Ga 30341 (far corner of Lowes home improvement parking lot) and accepting donations of packaged foods, socks, blankets, pillows, towels, diapers, formula, toothbrushes, toothpaste, comfort kits, first aid supplies, medical gloves, feminine products, shampoo, hand sanitizer, etc.
Monetary donations made via GoFundMe will go towards extra care items needed and the logistics to pull this event off, such as fuel for the trucks, drivers, as well as equipment and manpower to load and unload trucks.
We appreciate the overwhelming support we receive each time we do events like this and can't do it without you! We’re praying for Houston and surrounding areas, and can’t wait to do our part! We will also be sending a truck to Port author to distribute well needed items!
