Goal: To provide access to resources on anti-racism through my Little Free Library.
We have always had a large customer base of people of all ages at our little library and the numbers have increased during the pandemic!
I will start by purchasing/donating several books I have read myself: "So You Want to Talk About Race," "Between the World and Me," "Orange is the New Black" (the book not the TV series), " Small Great Things," "Underground Railroad," "The Hate You Give," and several books appropriate for pre-school and elementary age students. I am hoping to get a set of documentaries/DVDs as well.
If you would prefer to send me a recommended book directly....that works too! Or stop by and put it in the library yourself-please put a return label on it with my address.
I will be putting return labels on these books and will likely purchase multiple copies of my favorites so I can keep the library stocked at all times (idealy).
Here is a list of resources my friend Crystal Brunelle created that I plan to draw from: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D4mwH4Qvh2Kyg4nt6mmeA-dGNuUdWYIE0UB8IL65GPY/edit?fbclid=IwAR138Xd4PxRPz8nSuF9Pqtzs0vZ3KRpJCb4l4SOgVEv5ieYXsy1MPUiHO54
