Fijian village school

Hi I’m Abbey, I’ve just returned from Fiji and whilst there I visited a school in a village on an island.

There are approx 300 kids attend this school.

The kids here were the most amazing little beings I’ve ever met, so happy and grateful, yet they really had nothing. Most no shoes, barely any school supplies.

the buildings were damaged and the fans were hanging by a thread from the roof. Imagine that in the hot Fijian summer..

It just doesn’t sit right with me that a couple islands away, tourists live extravagantly eating and drinking too much, being waited on hand and foot when this is how the local children live.

The school had a donation box and a letter explaining their goal for the year was to raise enough for solar panels to provide clean drinking water to the students.

I want to raise enough to do this and at least fix the fans in the classrooms, ideally enough to provide some other essentials.
