Lynette: Fighting with Faith

There comes a time when your faith is tested. Lynette Garcia is no stranger to trials and tribulation. Anyone who knows her, comes in contact with her, or has been prayed for by her knows how strong her absolute faith is.  She is a pillar of strength,encouragement and hope for her family, friends and church. She has been a beacon of light through dark times for so many. And now we have the oppotunity to do the same for her. 
Over the past year she has been having abdominal pain and undergone many visits to the hospital to alleviate the pain and discomfort thought to be only scar tissue on the intestines from a previous surgery. However, on New Years, through much prayer, she along with her family decided to go through a surgery to remove scar tissue and see what else could possibly be going on.
What the Doctors found none of us were prepared for. During the surgery there were complications and it became very clear that this was not going to be an easy surgery as anticipated. The Doctors came into the waiting room to give horrible news that they found cancer along with all the scar tissue spread throughout her abdominal area.  Later on they told us that is was already stage 4 and they could not do any surgery to remove it.
Even after getting this horrible news Lynette's faith was not waivered. We were all devastated, scared and worried about how she would respond to the news. But, Lynette being Lynette, she reminded us of what faith looks like yet again. Her first response upon hearing the news was, "Praise God. We know what is wrong. What's next?"
We are now appealing to our family, friends and anyone who is willing to help her on her journey in this fight against cancer. Her treatment is going to be extensive and aggressive. Although some  of her treatment is covered by insurance, the majority is not.  Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
