Ian’s Fight Against Cancer

Ian is a 64 year old much loved husband to Sandi (32 years married), a father of three, and grandfather to three beautiful munchkins.
In August 2017 he was diagnosed with Stage 3 limited small cell lung cancer, an aggressive form of lung cancer which his doctors believe is likely from asbestosis earlier in his life. He wants to win this battle and will do everything in his power to be here with his family for many years to come. He has an amazing support system at Flinders Medical Centre as well as many friends and family. Unfortunately it is becoming increasingly difficult for his to attend treatments largely due to financial strain of running a car to get to and from treatment safely.
He has always maintained a positive upbeat attitude, a much loved joker to friends & family, Ian is the hardest working, most genuine, down to earth person you could ever be lucky enough to meet. He would do anything for anybody and expect nothing in return. Everyone who meets him is a better person for it and he is loved beyond your wildest imagination.
And he has said he has too many people to ”piss off” before he dies. So he is going through the fight of his life at the moment.
He wants to walk his only daughter down the aisle later this year, watch her graduate with a PhD to become Dr. Burt.
And he wants to play with his future grandchildren as well as his existing ones who are the apple of his eye.
He also wants to grow old and wrinkly dressed in pink with the love of his life, his beautiful wife Sandi of 32 years and counting.
We don’t like asking for money for nothing, so we want to send all donors a handmade gift in honour of Ian’s fight. We appreciate any donations equally and we thank you for your support.
