Need help fighting cancer

Cancer can be a heavy economic burden for patients and their families. Hospital bills, lost wages, and other expenses can add up quickly, even for patients with good insurance coverage. In this time of need, friends and family are often relied upon to provide financial help for cancer patients. It is under these unfortunate circumstances I am reaching out to fellow friends and family to help alleviate some of the burden my father Percy Wilson is going through. Back in February my dad had gone to the hospital for an issue that we later found out to be stage 4 prostate cancer. He has been put on a bunch of medications and will be continuing to take those medications along with chemotherapy and or radiation therapy for the rest of his life. He is no longer able to work due to his condition and I think that's probably his biggest sorrow in the situation being how hard of a worker he is.  He retired from plumb island after 30+ years of working for the ggovernment.  2 years later he started working for claudios restaurant where he worked for 25 years , and thats where he would be working now if he hadnt gotten sick and was able to. At 76 my father is unable to recieve disability benefits. Unexpectedly needing to shell out money for travel and medical expenses while not working can take a toll on one's financial security which in turn creates loads of stress for someone who really could use the least amount of stress possible . My father who is a very independent person is reluctant when it comes to asking for help so I am asking for him. Everyone asks me how he is doing and I can say he is taking things day to day with optimism. I don't really know what else to say it pains me to have to write this because I know he might not approve of me asking people for help for him but if I don't then who will? If you know my father you know he is a hard working peaceful individual . You may know him from claudios restaurant where he worked for over 25 years or maybe you worked with him on plum island where he worked for 30 plus years or maybe just from him being a life long resident of greenport who never bothered a soul. Being that my father was a marine who was discharged honorably I feel it isn't asking to much to reach out to fellow friends, family, and Americans for help and support. If you can't donate please share. Anything will help. I really want my dad to know how much me and the community are behind him and want him to feel the love that is out there in the world for him.
