In Memory of Joyce Herrera

In loving Memory of Joyce Herrera Mireles. It was a strong battle of two cancers that our beloved sister, daughter and mother suffered. She passed away this past Saturday July 8th, 2017 when she was taken off life support. Our sister fought a brave battle and stayed strong until her body couldn't fight anymore. She was 35 years young and left two little ones behind, of the age of 6 and 9.  We were told by one of the greatest Oncologists team in University Hospital in San Antonio TX, that my sisters stage four cervical cancer and the cancer that invaded her cerebrospinal fluid called (Lp) Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis was never and had never been recorded to have any links from one spreading to the other. The cancer ( Lp) is so rare that only 5% of the population get it from lung or breast cancer but not cervical. Which is why it wasn't tested for with sugh symptoms she was showing. (Lp) took my sisters life fast with in weeks. We strongly urge women who are still in time to do your yearly screenings for paps and to please not skip them. We all think it won't happen to us. But the next day you are faced with it and dealing with it and fighting to live.  My sister was struck with such tragedy, with ( Lp) and we don't even know where to begin to fathom why she had to endure two strong aggressive cancers all at once. She's at rest now and we are at peace knowing she's not suffering anymore . We pray that whatever your heart desires to give that the lord multiplies it for you and your family in abundance. We ask that this go viral as we urge for all women to keep up with their yearly routine screenings. Because tragedy can strike so young and we don't wish my sisters fate on anyone. God Bless.
