Fighting Cancer for Tommy Whitt

I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic melanoma. It is a very aggressive form of cancer. I am currently employed at the N.C. State University Club as a golf course superintendent. I still try to work everyday but there are both good and bad days. I am having all of my cancer testing and treatments at the UNC Cancer Hospital in Chapel Hill N.C. The plan is immunotherapy treatment first to try and shrink the mass, which is in my lymph node under my left armpit. The doctors will not say how many treatments because they do not know yet. I already know it's going to be at least 4. The drug they are using is Keytruda and the cost of the drug alone is $20,000 per treatment. If this drug works and they can shrink the mass enough then I will require surgery to have it removed.  Afterwards, there will be radiation treatments. I am hoping  and praying that I can beat this uphill battle. I know I can.
