Fighting Cancer as long as we can!

SHE NEEDS OUR HELP!!! We need this funding for an emergency move, to get alternative treatment because all surgical, radiological and chemotherapy options have failed for Kaci, a stage 4 cancer patient and mother to 7, who desperately needs it to continue fighting this horrible disease. Our story is below, thank you for your support! . . . . . . I have known Kaci (Katt is what she prefers), for 10 years now. She is a vibrant, fun person with a huge heart, and has been giving to others as long as I have known her. In 2014, she got really sick, and was rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. After many surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy, she was hospitalized again, and almost died, because they found that her body does not produce the enzyme that breaks down chemotherapy(DPD). Chemotherapy is NOT an option, due to that. She went into remission for a short time, in 2015, and we began building a life together. We got a small house together, and things were looking up. a sudden death in the family occured, and my 5 neices and nephews came to live with us. Mind blowing changes, right? We didn't know how we would take care of them, but we figured it out, and they are all straight A students now, and growing fast. Late in 2017, her oncologist found a mass in her lung, and that meant stage 4, the cancer had metastisized. she had surgery to remove the tumor, and recovered after months of hospitalization due to infection from surgery. Shortly after she seemed to be doing better, but her cancer counts continued to rise(CEA count). In 2018, a mass on her liver was discovered, and they needed to do surgery fast, but were held up by insurance not wanting to pay for the procedure, until it was too late, and she had to undergo a cryoablation(they froze the tumor out). Again, months of recovery. Now, the cancer is back, agressively. It is in her liver again, with a large mass and several smaller tumors. oncologist said radiation and surgery are not an option because it is too much to fall into the guidelines for such treatments. We are leaving our home in Texas to move to Michigan, which is a Medical marijuana state, in hopes that a more holistic approach will not only give her quality of life(constant pain, fatigue, and other horrible things that go along with colorectal cancer), but some studies show that if used the proper way, some extracts may even slow the growth of , or stop entirely, the cancer. This is an extremely expensive move, which we were not prepared for. our estimate is $15,000, for truck rental, storage, food and a place to stay while we find a home and get her into treatment. Even if you can only give a dollar or three, if enough of us chip in, we can achieve this goal to help potentially save this very giving and loving woman's life. Please share this, and give if you can, we don't have much time.
