Fighting Breast Cancer with Allison

Hi Everyone, 

If you've found this page you likely know Allison Tate or know someone who does. Allison was recently diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer Grade 3. Shortly after receiving her diagnosis Allison was told due to the nature of her work in the hospital as a Certified Child Life Specialist, and RSV/ Flu season upon us, that her doctor does not want her working while receiving treatment. Allison's treatment will include at least 4 rounds of chemo every two weeks followed by 1 chemo every week for 12 weeks over a 6 month period. After the chemo Allison will  have surgery followed by radiation. Allison has already begun all the pre treatment appointments and final testing and will be starting treatment later this month, leaving very little time left to work and save what she can. Any money donated will go to help Allison pay her medical bills, living expenses and other bills that might arise during this time.

As a Certified Child Life Specialist Allison is usually on the medical team helping pediatric patients understand and cope with their diagnosis, treatments, and hospitalizations. Now that Allison is the patient we will help her fight this battle as she does with all of her patients. We will be celebrating every milestone (end on chemo, end of treatments, etc.) she reaches.
