Eric's Fight Against ALS

Donation protected
In October of 2016, my dad was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. ALS is a rare nervous disease that slowly shuts down the body and eventually leads to death. There is no cure, and treatments are not hopeful.  My dad participated in stem cell therapy research, which helped slow down the disease and gave us more time with him. My dad also received ALS treatments which insurance was helping to pay for. Unfortunately, our insurance informed my parents that they would not help pay for any more treatments, so my dad stopped receiving treatments. We recently found out that insurance stopped helping to pay for treatments several treatments before my parents were informed, so they received a medical bill for $15,000 that they thought insurance had already paid for. My parents still owe a great deal of money for a wheelchair accessible vehicle perchased to transport my dad, and are preparing to pay for my dad's funeral (which we all know is very expensive), and so we are again asking for anyone willing to donate what they can to help pay for this sudden medical bill.

My parents are so wonderful and are the kind of people who have always given everything, even when they have had little to give. My incredible dad has never asked for anything, and deserves this more than anyone I know. Any money given to my dad's cause would help.  Thank you.
