In spite of the millions of horology enthusiasts following watch accounts on Instagram, it is exceedingly rare to see the platform used for anything other than showcasing the timepieces that we all love. And while the sense of community that Instagram fosters can be a reward in and of itself, there is an opportunity here to use it to do active good for the world at large. Indeed, with so many great individuals already active participants, the time is right – especially now – to rally the troops and use our voice and influence on behalf of those who are in need.
To this end, I am taking the first step in what I hope will be a longer journey to aid those in need by using my voice and influence to help. But I can't do it alone, which is where you, my friends and followers come in. As a gesture of my commitment to the charity, Fighting All Monsters, which gives vital support to children suffering from cancer, and their families, I am offering up one of my personal watches, which will be given as a reward for donating to this worthy cause. The winner will be chosen at random from the group of those who donate to this fundraiser, with 100% of the money raised going directly to the children and their parents.
The watch in question is none other than the Frederique Constant X RedBar Highlife Manufacture Perpetual Calendar. Made in a limited series of 10pcs for RedBar Group, the global community of watch enthusiasts, and a charitable powerhouse in their own right, the watch is crafted in alternately satin-finish and polished stainless steel and features a matte gray dial with red highlights.
