Family fight against brain cancer

I’m setting this page up in hopes of raising money for my stepfather Bob and Mom Lucia to help with mounting medical and life bills.
Bob was diagnosed with glioblastoma , which is a very aggressive form of brain cancer, on September 5th and sent to Brigham and Women’s hospital to have surgery to remove the main part of the tumor on September 8th.
This happened very quickly. Bob had gone to work on Tuesday and by Wednesday was just barely realizing the scope of what would be happening in the coming days and months.
After Bob was released from Brigham and Women’s hospital and had recovered a bit from surgery he started aggressive daily radiation and chemotherapy treatment in hopes to keep the tumor from growing back too quickly.
We just found out on Monday that his treatment has been successful and the tumor has not grown, which is the best news we could have received, because of this his doctor is progressing with even more aggressive chemotherapy with hopes to keep the tumor at bay as long as possible.
Unfortunately, glioblastoma cannot be cured, and although we are thrilled with the results of his treatment , statistics are very grim.Even in the best case scenario of treatment, such as Bob’s, most patients only live a short time( on average with aggressive treatment 14 months), because no matter how aggressive treatment is the tumor is entwined in the brain tissue and grows extremely fast.
Our hope as a family is to make the time he has left, and through treatment ,as painless and stress free as possible and one way to do that is by removing some of the financial burdens that they face.
Like so many Americans they were simply not expecting nor prepared for this type of tragedy.
So I turn to my friends and family asking for your help,if you are able to donate it would mean a great deal to me, but more importantly to my Mom and Bob.
Regardless, please keep them in your thoughts as Bob starts phase 3 of his treatment and I will keep you updated with any news.
