Fight For Deanna

Deanna Snider was diagnosed in November of 2013 with a very rare form of cancer; Inflammatory Breast Cancer(IBC). IBC accounts for less than 5% of all breast cancer diagnosis. It is one of the most rapid spreading forms of cancer.

She had months of chemotherapy treatments costing over $7,500 per treatment. Deanna had worked at the Athena Elementary School for over 10 years but could no longer do so with her condition. 

Deanna had a scan that showed that the cancer had spread above the collar bone, under her arm, all across the right upper side of the body, the lymph nodes. A scan also showed that the cancer has spread to her spine and her bones. This will now be a cancer she will live with the rest of her life.

 After chemotherapy she has been taking an anti estrogen pill and a scan has showed that the mass in her breast has shrunk. 

She is now taking bone strengthening treatments to help prevent breakage.

As their Daughter, I know the financial struggles my parents already face. Since losing my Brother, their Son, on December 2nd, 2011, to suicide, they have faced many obstacles. My Mom can no longer work and there is only so much that insurance can cover. 

I set up this page to help for the expenses they may have during this difficult time.
