Support Marlen L. Against Leukemia

Hi, I have created this fundraising page to support my mom. Very recently we found out she has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia and ever since she has been hospitalized.

For the Past couple of months, she had been feeling tired and she would get sick often, but the doctors kept telling her it was only a cold and that she would be fine in the next week or so. After 6 months had past she insisted on getting a blood test because she knew she had more than just a simple cold or flu. And that’s how they discovered she had leukemia. For the past week and a half, she has been receiving chemotherapy but now she faces another problem. Her insurance won’t cover all of her treatment and it will not cover her transplants.

We cannot wait for her to come back home. Especially her 7-year-old daughter. Valerie has been visiting her every day and my heart breaks every time I see her leave that hospital room. She doesn’t understand what is happening to her mother and quite frankly she seems afraid. Only 3 weeks ago we were celebrating Valerie’s birthday and everything seemed perfect but now her life has changed.
