Welcome to the ‘Fight Like Fred’ Go Fund Me Group!
As you may know my father Fred Van Oosten was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 27 years ago.
Dad’s condition has deteriorated in recent months and has now spent over a month in hospital. This has been a really worrying time for us as a family, and far more difficult considering the current COVID-19 restrictions, as I haven’t been able to support him in person as I would of liked to.
Feeling incredibly helpless we are trying to make the best of this situation, and channel our energy in to doing something positive…this is where you step in!
On the 5th December 2020 team ‘Fight Like Fred’ will be lacing up their running shoes to take part in an event called the Surf Coast Century; a 100km trail running race along the Anglesea surf coast and hinterland. We have a group of people taking part in various distances and relays, all for the same goal. We aim to not only raise lots of money for MS Research Australia but to also inspire Fred and others like him with MS to keep fighting!
We understand that it is currently a difficult time for many people, however if you are able to contribute either by running alongside us, making a donation, offering your assistance to the team or even just spreading the word and raising awareness, it would be greatly appreciated.
