Why I’m doing this
I am a feminist who believes in equal rights for all. I believe that each and every person has a right to his or her own body. Education about pregnancy prevention allows women to make a plan that works for her. Planned Parenthood empowers women to make their own choices about their own body and live a life of their choosing.
The fight for women’s basic rights continues on to this day. We have men in our government who want to regulate what a woman can and cannot do, regardless of her opinion. To preserve women’s rights, people must get up and fight back. Like magical girls, we must battle with all of our strength.
I’m selling shirts to empower women and their rights. In buying a shirt, I will be able to help women by supporting planned parenthood.
Some Facts About Planned Parenthood
-About 40% of funding is from the federal government.
-More than one million people rely on services for early detection and prevention screenings of cancer.
-Women and men are provided with low-cost or free contraceptions including the the birth control pill and condoms.
-It is estimated that one in five women have visited a health center in their lifetime.
-In 2014, centers across the nation served more than 250,000 male patients.
-98% of services provided in 2016 did not involve abortion.
Specifications on the Shirt
I have spent a lot of time ordering and checking out samples of the printed shirt to ensure that I can offer the best quality possible.
-Direct-to-garment printing with water based ink. This means the image is “sunk” into the fabric and no cracking or peeling will occur: EVER.
-100% cotton fabric
-Women and unisex/men sizes are available.
-Choose between a rounded neck or v-neck.
-White or pale pink colored shirt
Once the campaign is over, I will be e-mailing everyone a short survey of what size, color and neck type they would like.
Delivery This fundraiser is to last a month and unfortunately I cannot guarantee that you will receive your item before Christmas. It takes about a week to order and receive the shirts, and another week or two to have it printed and shipped. I’m estimating that all shirts will be delivered by the first of February 2018. If you do need your shirt before Christmas, please let me know as soon as possible as I might be able to get a rush-print to you.
Tracking and insurance will be included with all shipped packages.
Returns
Because these shirts are custom made (and are printed on demand), I cannot accept returns or refunds. Please make sure you select the correct size and color before placing your order. If you have made a mistake, contact me as soon as possible to fix it.
If you receive your shirt and there is something wrong with the printing, please notify me with photos and close ups. Depending on the issue, I may be able to send you another shirt free of charge.
Risks
I have done my best to eliminate all potential risks. I have found a printing company I can rely on (a small local business called Northeast Promotion & Apparel), estimated shipping costs, and have done a test shirt that I am satisfied with. The only thing I can foresee an issue is something unexpected coming up and running out of time. If this happens, I will let you know that your shirts will be delayed and provide an estimate of when I can get them shipped out.
