It kills me to even have to start one of these campaigns however sometimes things in life are super unfair. Life can throw us unfortunate and devastating events that we are unprepared for.
Recent events within the McAloney family, have proven that to be true. I felt it was absolutely necessary to try to help their family by providing some assistance to ease the financial burden during this difficult time.
For those of you who may not know, Tyler McAloney was faced with a life altering diagnosis a few months ago. Mesothelioma. For those who don't know what this is, let me explain. Mesothelioma is a very specific, aggressive, painful and debilitating form of cancer caused by exposure to the one and only asbestos. There is no cure and treatments are few and far between.
Tyler has been fighting his lung condition for well over a year, has undergone multiple painful surgeries, and was not diagnosed with mesothelioma until a few months ago. The cancer was missed in the first surgery which was performed a year ago and now he is faced with this life threatening condition.
This cancer has left him feeling sick, tired, weak, extremely sore, and unable to work. Because of this cancer, Tyler has had to give up his passion of steel fabrication. Giving this up meant he had to fold his own business which he operated from his own home. His wife, Sheena, has been caring for their 2 girls, trying to juggle working from home, all while caring for Ty. You can imagine the financial burden and stress this family is facing with the main source of income now gone.
For the future, the McAloneys will likely be facing more hospital time in order for Ty to heal. Having the financial burden of this cancer lifted, this family can focus on healing and getting Tyler healthy again for his wife, son, and 2 girls.
