Hello, my name is Chandice, and I’m setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my close family friends. Their 9 year old son, Sully, is a bright, kind-hearted boy who loves his family, basketball, gaming, and playing with his friends. Just a few weeks ago, life was normal. Then, without warning, a serious medical crisis turned this family’s world upside down.

In a matter of days, Sully was moved between three hospitals and is now in the Pediatric ICU at Children’s National in Washington, D.C. Doctors discovered a cavernoma in the pons of his brain...a rare and delicate condition that requires intensive care and ongoing treatment.

His parents, who have always been the ones helping others, are now facing an unimaginable challenge. His mom is a disabled Marine veteran who has given so much to our country. His dad has taken FMLA leave so he can stay by Sully’s side, which means their family income has been drastically reduced just as medical bills and expenses pile up. They also have two teenagers at home who still need stability, love, and care through all of this.

On top of the mounting medical bills, they know they will need to make their home and vehicle more accessible to support Sully’s recovery when he comes home.
