Fight for Sheree

Before I go into detail about why I am making this GoFundMe, I want to start by apologizing for delivering this news in this manner. It is hard to individually tell this story in great detail to everyone who is a part of Sheree’s life.
This GoFundMe is in honor of my best friend, Sheree Clark, who has recently been diagnosed with Colon Cancer and is about to start the hardest battle of her life. Everyone who knows Sheree knows, SHEREE IS A FIGHTER!
This news really came as a complete shock to all of us.
Sheree hasn't been feeling well for quite some time (over the past 3 years). Although her symptoms were vague; she was not really able to pin point exactly what was going on internally but she knew something was wrong. But over the past couple of month Sheree went to her primary care doctor on several occasions and never got any clear answers.
On May 29th, she went back to her PCP for weakness and fatigue She had labs drawn including a complete blood count which revealed that her hemoglobin (a protein molecule in red blood cell that transport oxygen from the lungs to the body’s tissue) was critically low. She was immediately sent to the ER to find out where the blood loss was coming from. While in the ER, she had several tests done including a colonoscopy which revealed a tumor in the colon. Sheree was sent to the OR for an emergency bowel resection with tumor removal. During surgery they found a that the tumor extended to the omentum ( a fold of peritoneum connecting the stomach with other abdominal organs) and there were two lesions on her liver.
Sheree was scheduled to see her oncologist yesterday, June 15th, where she was going to find out all the details of her treatment plan. Upon arriving at the appointment, she had a temperature and was sent back to the ER to find out the source of infection.
Sheree is being very strong! She has so many people that love and care about her but I know she needs us all right now. This is going to be a long, expensive road. With hospital bills adding up quickly and the amount of money that this long road will cost, every little bit will help!
This process is stressful enough for Sheree and her family; the last thing that should be on her mind is money. Please donate to helping Sheree fight this battle and stay strong and empowered. Sheree’s positivity has helped us all out when we were down; it is now time for us to return the favor!
