Fight for Jonathan Euseppi’s Life!

If you know Jonathan Euseppi, you LOVE Jonathan Euseppi. If you don’t know Jonathan Euseppi, you deserve the chance to love him.  Please join us in fighting for Jonathan’s life!

On May 30th, Jonathan was hospitalized for shortness of breath and it was soon determined that his left lung collapsed due to massive fluid accumulation.  Jonathan is a cancer survivor and he beat Liposarcoma’s ass less than 2 years ago.  A scan during his recent hospitalization  revealed a mass in Jonathan’s lung.  A biopsy revealed that it was malignant and Jonathan has a fist-sized tumor in his lung and it is VERY close to his heart.

Jonathan has been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic sarcoma. This is life threatening and he needs  treatment NOW.  Unfortunately, his insurance company has wasted precious time denying requests  for care—most recently denying Jonathan from seeing a sarcoma specialist citing that his condition is “non life threatening”!!!

As Jonathan puts it, “Basically insurance is delaying treatment as long as they can in hopes that I die.”

WE CAN’T LET THIS HAPPEN! Jonathan is one of the most compassionate, curious, open, loving, gentle, hilarious people we know.  He and his beautiful wife, Katie will be celebrating their 3 year wedding anniversary on July 3rd. Jonathan is a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, artist, comedian, and friend.  He is a beautiful genderqueer human who deserves treatment and a fighting chance.

On Tuesday June 16th, Jonathan was able to see a specialist despite not being covered. The specialist is not only is developing a treatment plan—including participation in a clinical trial—but also instructing his office to guide Jonathan and Katie through switching their insurance plan! However, given the precious time wasted and how long coverage can take and the likelihood for more battles with denials, we want Jonathan to have the funds to fight this without wasting anymore time.

We are asking for you to contribute whatever you can, and spread the word to others. Funds raised will go to supporting Jonathan’s treatment, ensuring that he will not be denied care due to his financial means, and helping Jonathan and Katie with essentials in their home to make treatment as stress-free as possible.

 Any funds that end up not being used for these purposes will be donated to aiding another person facing the terror of a life-threatening cancer diagnosis and a bureaucratic system designed to fail them.
