Fight for Ali Fundraiser

We are members of a local gym in Adelaide (The West Movement) organising a fundraiser for one of our members, Robyn.
Sadly, Robyn’s nearly 3 year old son Ali was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and will be undergoing treatment in hospital for the next 3 and a half years. Due to some reactions to medication, little Ali now also has a Tracheostomy to help him breathe.
As you can imagine, Robyn’s world has been turned upside down. She has had to quit her job in order to focus on Ali’s treatment, and doing everything she can in order to make his life comfortable, all whilst trying to ensure normality for her other son, James.
The West Movement has become her sanctuary on the rare occasion she is able to get out of the hospital, and to show our support we are running this campaign in line with hosting a fundraiser on April 7th at The West Movement.
We have been told that Ali’s doctors will do all they can to ensure he is fit enough to be there on the day, and it will be extra special as Ali’s 3rd Birthday is the very next day, so it’s going to be one big Birthday party!
ALL donations are going to Ali & his family. We even have some generous members funding the entire fundraiser out of their own pockets so to not take away from any funds raised for the family
We just want to do all we can to make life a little easier for this beautiful family. All your support is greatly appreciated, together we can make a difference & support Ali in his fight against Leukemia

Please note: The beneficiary to this campaign is George Karittevli, who was co-ordinator of this fundraiser (alongside myself) & handled all donations outside of this Go Fund Me page. It was George’s idea to run this fundraiser for Ali, his trusted friendship with Robyn meant he could set up a bank account in his name with her blessings (and to provide some element of Surprise for Robyn when she is presented with the funds). The Go Fund Me donations will be transferred into this newly created account opened with Comm Bank specifically for this fundraiser, and will be added to the donations received from our fundraiser day. All funds will then be given to Robyn and her family in cheque form, and presented to her at a dinner organised by our gym. As a small community we are so proud of the huge success of this campaign, and are thankful we can make a difference in little Ali’s world.
