Fight Childhood Cancer & Childhood Illness

The Sam's Hope Foundation provides financial assistace to families who have a child with cancer or illness by helping the family wih any cancer and illness related expense they may be facing during their fight to win.

Rolland "Sam" Kolve 1995-2011

Rolland "Sam" Kolve was 15 years old when he was playing footbal. He was tackled and fell to the ground. His spine began to ache and continued to get worse. He slowly began to lose his ability to walk. After several doctor visits, a CAT scan revealed that he had a cancer on his spine. The hospital confirmed this and he was immediately flown from Great Falls to Denver Children's Hospital to begin treatment.

Sam was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma and had only a 15% chance of survival. After two years of chemotherapy, radiation and tests, Same lost his valiant fight. To keep Sam's memory alive, his parents, who now live in Lincoln, Montana, organized the Sam's Hope Foundation and began raising money to help other families who have children fighting cancer in the hopes that someday there will be no more chldren who face cancer and that a cure can be found.

The Sam's Hope Foundation was established in 2012 in memory of Ralland " Sam" Kolve.

The funds raised go to help families that are currently battling childhood cancer and childhood illness with any expenses that they may incur, also those in need in the Lincoln, MT community. We also give a yarly scholarship to a graduating member of the senior class of the Great Falls Highschool Sam attended and the Lincoln, MT Highschool.

We have aslo established the Sam's Hope Foundation Award which is given yearly to a 6th, 7th, and 8th grader who has improved scholastially and helped with community events.
