Fierce Mom Battling Cancer

Around christmas time my mom got sick and had a really bad cough that lasted until a little after new years. They started giving her antibiotics and cough medicine which helped, but she was never fully better. My mom followed up with her doctor who suggested to run a bunch of tests to make sure everything was okay on the inside. When running these tests, the doctor found an excessive amount of fluid in her right lung along with a mass. He recommended she go into the emergency room to get admitted so they can drain out the fluid and take a look at the mass, no biggie right? Well that’s when they told us the news that the mass and the fluid both came back cancerous. My heart dropped instantly and I just couldn’t stop crying. My mom is my best friend and the one person who has always been there for me. She has always been a fighter as a single mom and now needs help to fight this battle. While she is blessed with insurance, there are many needs that will not be covered going through chemo (e.g. gas to appointments, rent, bills, meals, etc.) My mom needs all the help she can get and after everything she has done for me, I am willing to fight this battle by her side everyday no matter what it takes and I hope you guys can help me do the same.
