Fiapule's journey to conquer cancer

Hi, my name is (Aunty) Marie, I am Maryanne’s sister.

In late May this year, Fiapule (@18 months old) was diagnosed with Stage 4 High-Risk Neuroblastoma -a rare and aggressive childhood cancer (only 40 children are diagnosed with Neurobalstoma each year in Australia).

Pule has been in and out of the hospital for numerous procedures so far and is now undergoing her 3rd round of chemotherapy. Her stem cells have been harvested for the vital stem cell transplant later in her journey and she has received multiple blood transfusions to help fight off infections due to her weakened immune system.

Throughout all this and with the chemo side effects of hair loss, she continues to be her happy, playful self. Adores her big sister Mapua and 4-legged furry buddy Rocket.

Pule’s diagnosis has come as a huge shock to the family. Pule’s journey ahead, she will be going through further rounds of intense chemo, each will be harder with nasty side effects including constant vomiting, nausea and hairing loss.
This little girl has a mighty spirit and we know she’s a fighter. 

This platform is to alleviate the financial stress so Maryanne & Sila can focus on what’s important, Fiapule’s health and their growing family.

A new family member will be joining them in December.

Fiapule will be turning 2 in September.

This will be a blessing to their family.
