Leslie's Surgery

God Bless everyone.

My name is Samuel Lopez and I'm raising funds for my wife's surgery. First allow me to give you a little bit of a background. God blessed my life when I met Leslie at church. She was a single mom of a miracle kid named Kevin. It was love at first sight for me but for her I think it took a little more convincing. It was funny, she used to avoid me at the end of every service. But God had a plan for our lives. So even though she avoided me hard, I worked up the courage to ask her out in September 2012 and little more than a year later we married. February 23, 2013 was our big day.

After we married we had decided to wait approximately 2 years before embarking on our next adventure of, you guessed it, having a baby. So we both knew at first that it was going to be a little difficult because Leslie has a condition called endometriosis. So we put our trust in the Lord and the doctors because there are plenty of cases of women with this disease that were able to conceive with the proper treatment.

So we started exploring those same avenues only to find out that her condition was more severe than we had originally thought. After having a surgical laparoscopy the doctors discovered that her endometriosis is at a severe stage. They called it stage 4. Since we don't know much about medical terms the doctors explained to us that the condition was affecting her uterus, ovaries, and even her intestines. And if we didn't take action now, she would've been in danger of losing her abilities to conceive. Even though Leslie's pain in a day-to-day basis due to her condition is severe, the pain of not being able to conceive is a whole lot greater.

We asked our doctors what should be our next course of action. Dr. Kangoasa, an endometriosis specialist, explained that he could perform a surgery where he would have to go in and clean the scar tissue and remove the infected area. The big blow however is that our doctor is not affiliated with our insurance company. Hence we're putting the trust in the Lord again and in the people who love us.

The doctor's fees will be approximately $10,000, and as everyone knows that is the surgery alone. Next are the hospital fees, anesthesiologist fees, and recovery time. So this is where we appeal to your generosity.  Minimum we have to raise $10k by the day of the surgery which is October 26th 2018, of which a large portion of the funds will have to be available by the pre-op appointment of October 9th. Please help us with your donations.

Your prayers for this difficult stage in our lives will also be beneficial, after all we believe in an all mighty powerful God who took all or sins and pains to the cross. Your donations will be a physical tangible way of demonstrating your generosity and love for our family in this time of need. Leslie will be recovering for approximately 6 weeks. For a family that depends on two working parents that will be a heavy burden. But with God's help and your contributions I know that we'll make it to the other side of this storm.

Leslie and I would like to thank you in advance for your donations and prayers. Our lives will be blessed by you and in return you will be blessed by how you where a part of our testimony of hope and the power of prayer in the future.

Thank you.
