In the world of adventure and sport, there are limited opportunities to be first. 1000’s have climbed the summit of Mount Everest, 100’s of astronauts have been in space. But less than 100 sailors from around the world have competed in around the world single-handed non-stop sailing races. However, no American has won a single-handed non-stop round the world race. The Golden Globe Race will be the first opportunity for this record to fall.
My name is Guy deBoer, it is my goal as an American to win the Golden Globe Race 2022. I am the American skipper who has entered the race with a successful racing background so that I can win this historic race'.
With a budget in excess of $300,000 I need the support of many individuals and businesses to reach the starting line at Les Sables d’Olonne, France in September 2022. Any donation from large to small will help me towards winning this great international sailing race.
As an entrant in the GGR, I am seeking support for my entry in the international single-handed non-stop 2022 Golden Globe Round World Race. This race is run from Les Sables d’Olonne on the Vendee Coast, France. As a first generation American, son of a Dutch sea officer it is my goal to represent my home town Key West / Florida Keys and the United States of America.
