Ranley Clayton -Walk By Faith

Donation protected
On August 9th, my daughter Ranley Clayton who is 19 years old had an ATV accident.  She was on her way home and was trying to call and have me open the garage. When she looked up from her phone, she was off the road. She over corrected the side by side and was thrown from the unit. The result of the accident was 12 broken ribs, shattered left forefinger, T11 and T12 broken vertebrae, and a severed spinal cord. Surgery was done immediately to fuse her spine. She has rods and screws in her back from T7 to L2. Surgery was done on her finger the following Thursday.   She spent one week at UAB hospital, four of those days in ICU. The next three weeks were spent in Spain rehabilitation. She was discharged from Birmingham on September 5th. She is now going to outpatient therapy at Russell Medical center in Alexander City.   Ranley is paralyzed from the waist down. She is classified as a T11 Asia A paraplegic.

The reason for this fund raiser is to help raise money to go towards a stander for our home. The stander will allow Ranley to be mobile out of her chair to stretch muscles, legs, and relieve weight bearing on pressure points. The stander we are evaluating also works as an eleptical. This allows the arms to move the legs for more muscle movement, ankle movement, and cardio.
