Ferragosto 2017
Ferragosto is a charity event held every other year, whose proceeds go towards 3 main charities:
1. The Washington Elementary School Foundation
2. The Little Italy Foundation
3. Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church
100% Tax Deductible!
In addition to these charities, funding goes towards the overall restoration of Little Italy in San Diego. Together, we've been able to accomplish so much, but there is so much left to do. Just $10 can change the lives of so many. Read below for more information about how your donation makes a difference:
- First and foremost, the funds raised from Ferragosto benefit Washington Elementary School. When Ferragosto began, the school was ranked a 2 out of 10 on the California School Ranking Index. Now, with all YOUR help, Washington Elementary School was recently announced to be an 8 out of 10 with a reputable STEAM program.
- Proceeds from Ferragosto also help create scholarships for at risk and/or homeless youth in San Diego. Together, we've raised more than $500,00 in scholarships.
- Another big initiative is the overall maintenance of San Diego. We provide a substantial amount of funding towards a maintenance staff that keeps our city streets clean. We also help create piazzas around town as well as refurbish public areas to provide families a place to grow.
