Help make the Fernwood DIY Skatepark even better for years to come!
Anyone involved in the skateboard community here in Victoria, BC knows just how special Fern is. Over the years we have hosted Go Skate Day, For The Girls + LGBTQ Skate Clinics, and skateboard video premieres here.
Fernwood is a place where friendships, both old and new are cultivated; a place where we challenge each other and have fun in the process. Fernwood is the epitome of skate culture and community, yet it needs some serious repairs and upgrades.
This is a fundraiser to raise money to build new obstacles that cater to differing abilities and skill levels, as well as to repair damaged areas of the park.
Outlined are some ideas of what we may be using the funds for:
-Potentially: re-surface the courts, smoother ground (*TOP PRIORITY)
-Bondo the existing quarter pipe, graffiti removal
-Smaller quarter pipe, beginner friendly
-Resurface the large quarter pipe
-Potentially: Longer concrete quarter pipe on back wall, with pool coping, extension
-Mini picnic table
-Pole Jam
-Spine quarter pipe
-Bank
