Nana is a 15 year old girl from TriCities that loves her dog, her skateboard, and thrifting in local small businesses....and she needs YOUR HELP! Nana's father was murdered last July, and she began severely self-harming. We have been fighting to get her the help she needs ever since, and have been on every waitlist available in our area for services. But our area/state is in a mental health crisis, and there are NO services available that meet her needs and the level of care needed to keep her safe. Sadly, right after Christmas Nana had a "mental break" and made her first suicide attempt, and was sent for her first Crisis stay in Spokane. During that time more information was discovered that Nana was a victim of some severe trauma at the hands of a family member from age 5 to 11, and is now in "active crisis" and constantly suicidal. She has had multiple crises stays all over the state and in Idaho, and is in an outpatient program now on the regular here at home, but it isn't NEAR the care level she needs to get better or stay safe. Her Mom, who owns a local arts small business, is currently unable to work as she has been assigned to do 24/7 watch over Nana, so that she can keep her safe. Our only hope for real help is an out-of-state Inpatient Treatment Center, and even WITH a sliding scale and charity, these stays average around $20,000 for a month of care. Currently, the wait for a Medicaid-paid stay in ALL of Washington treatment facilities is about a year, and according to her care team, she won't make it that long.

At this time we are OUT of resources to call, on every waitlist there is, and she is no closer to getting the help she actually needs. The system has failed us so we need YOUR help! We are blessed that ELFATCAT volunteered to plan a silent auction with proceeds going to Nana's care that raised just over $4,000 and that will pay for the current crisis stay she is in, in Idaho. We are humbly asking local small businesses and artisans to donate items or gift certificates so that we can build baskets to auction off to help Nana for round two auction.
