Post Kidney Transplant

As everyone may know my 4 year old daughter Shylah was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome at 8 months old. On December 2, 2018 her kidneys failed completely and she had to receive dialysis treatment 4 days a week. She’s been on dialysis for almost 2 years now. Well now the time has come and we’re very fortunate to receive a kidney transplant. There are no words to describe the level of happiness that we feel right now.
It goes without saying that this entire process will not come cheap. While insurance have covered most expenses thus far, there will be many expenses accrued right after transplant. After the transplant, I will be required to take 6-8 weeks off of work to care for Shylah and attend multiple appointments a week. We are also taking into account the cost of medications, general living expenses and have come to the realization that we’re going to need some help to make sure we have a healthy recovery. I have set up this page to offer the option of donating to Shylah’s recovery process.
Any donation of any amount is greatly appreciated and means that a normal and healthier life is much closer. It is unclear and hard to project exactly where I fall so I have set the initial goal of $3,000 as a starting point. To anyone that takes the time out to donate or just read our story, we are grateful for your time and generosity. Your donation means more than you know.
