Feed My Sheep (A Mom's Initiative)

I am most privileged to share the glorious news about Feed My Sheep, an initiative started by my dear mother, Ms. Tosin Shodunke. The goal of Feed My Sheep is to feed the poor and underprivileged everyday throughout the month of December. The program serves nourishment both spiritually by sharing God's word, and physically by providing warm lunches.
Feed My Sheep is ran through the anglican church my mother attends in Lagos, Nigeria - (St. Luke The Physician Anglican Chapel, near Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.) Her inspiration is largely from God's word in Matthew 25:31-40, about helping less privileged people in our communities. Operationally, the model is as follows: (1) Get donations of food items and resources, (2) prepare/cook using whatever is donated each day, (3) serve the spiritual food to God's beautiful people while lunch is being prepared, then (4) serve lunch right after.
From 2015 stats, on Day 1 (December 1, 2015), about 150 people were fed, and over 10 promised to return to her church. Over the entire month, Feed My Sheep fed about 200 to 230 on average per day, with each lunch pack costing about 500 Naira to 1000 Naira (i.e. $1.50 to $3.00 roughly). December 16, 2015 was most memorable as about 250 people were fed, and two people gave their lives to Christ! Hallelujah! I am truly blessed to be the son of this faithful and wonderful woman of God. I just can't wait to see what God will do this upcoming December.
