Feeding Families & Seniors For The Holidays 2021

Dear East End Friends,

Thanksgiving is a time of joyful celebrations, yet also a time of reflection. As the holiday approaches, it’s a time to reflect with gratitude on the blessings and bounty that we’ve received. While making your holiday plans and reflecting on all you have to be thankful for, it’s also a good time to think about those who are less fortunate and consider whether you can be of assistance to those who are in need.

 

Citizens 4 Humanity’s annual Thanksgiving and Holiday meal program offers a way to give back locally for a very worthy cause. C4H feeds families and senior citizens throughout the East End based on referrals from local individuals, School Districts, Churches and the Senior Center in Hampton Bays. Last year, C4H and our grass roots group of over 25 volunteers led by master Chef Marco Barrila of Insatiable Eats Catering prepped, cooked and packaged over 150 complete gourmet turkey dinners. These meals were then delivered directly to the doorsteps of over 64 households for Thanksgiving with additional meals for the freezer to be enjoyed throughout the month of December leading up to Christmas. With the current economic conditions, food shortages and steep rise in grocery prices, Citizens 4 Humanity is already witnessing a large increase in requests for assistance this year.
