Feed Nurses and Doctors at Riverbend!

Our local doctors and nurses are on the front lines treating COVID-19 patients. They are risking their lives to save others.  When they get done with a shift, they are tired and still need to feed themselves and their families.  

All money raised from this fundraiser will go towards gift certificates to local restaurants.  Gift certificates will help local restaurants affected by this crisis as well.  Once we reach our goal,  gift certificates will be delivered to Riverbend so that doctors and nurses and medical professionals can get themselves a hot meal in the way and at the time that works best for them.  We will start with ER, ICU, and Med 8  professionals initially.  After receiving feedback on this fundraiser, it appears that COVID patients are mostly on Med 8, although ICU has patient(s) and the ED is obviously fielding everyone who comes into the ER and has to rule out whether they are COVID or not. 

This fundraiser is not intended to incite panic about COVID cases in our community, but simply to help the professionals at Riverbend who are on the front lines of this get a hot meal at the end of or during their shift.  Depending on how much is raised, we may be able to expand to other departments.  I promise to be completely transparent about how these gift cards are used, how many I purchase, in what increments, and how they are distributed.  That will obviously look differently if we raise $500 or $5,000 for this effort, so I cannot say in advance the increments of the gift cards or how much each employee can get.
