Feed Families for Ramadan 2024

Asalam Alykum Dear Brothers and Sisters, we are raising money for two different causes in Afghanistan during Ramadan Inshallah. All of this will be taken care of by trust worthy family members in Afghanistan. This is Zakat Eligible and all of the money donated will be used for the cause and none of it will be used for personal use.

As we approach the blessed month of Ramadan, I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt appeal. What started as a small project for myself has blossomed into something much greater, thanks to the generosity of individuals like you.

This Ramadan, we have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan who are facing immense challenges. We have identified two crucial packages that aim to provide relief and sustenance to those most in need.

Package 1 - £100 to feed a family of Widows and Orphans for a month: This initiative is dedicated to supporting the families of widows and orphans who find themselves without a source of income. With this money we will buy them raw materials like rice, flour, sugar etc and they will be able to sustain themselves during the whole of Ramadan. Your contribution can ensure that these vulnerable families have food on their tables for an entire month, offering them comfort and security during a time of hardship.

Package 2 - £100 per day to feed 50-100 people: Our second package focuses on a broader scale, aiming to provide daily meals to a larger group of 50 to 100 people. We will have a chef hired who will cook food on the day and the trust family member will give out food to those in need. By contributing to this cause, you are directly impacting the lives of many, helping alleviate hunger and bringing hope to those who need it most.

Your donation, no matter the amount, can play a vital role in making a positive difference. Together, we can turn this humble project into a force for greater change. Let us join hands in the spirit of compassion and generosity, embodying the true essence of Ramadan.

The Prophet, upon him be peace, said: “Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.”

The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity (Al-Tirmidhi)

Ramadan is an honorable and blessed month, and the rewards for generosity are multiplied in it

Allah's Apostle said, "When a woman gives in charity some of the foodstuff (which she has in her house) without spoiling it, she will receive the reward for what she has spent, and her husband will receive the reward because of his earning, and the storekeeper will also have a reward similar to it. The reward of one will not decrease the reward of the others. "

Do not shut your money bag; otherwise, Allah too will with-hold His blessings from you. Spend (in Allah's Cause) as much as you can afford

Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace, said, “Protect yourself from hell-fire even by giving a piece of date as charity.”

“Do not show lethargy or negligence in giving alms and charity till your last breath.”

May this Ramadan be a source of mercy and abundance for you and your loved ones.
