Wendel's Medical Fund

A couple months ago Wendel started not feeling like himself, he felt as if something was wrong. He went to the ER a couple times and they kept telling him that it was one of his medication. On one of the ER visits it was suggested that Wendel see a neurologist; following the advice of the ER staff Tammy made the appointment and the doctor began by ordering an MRI. Upon receiving the results back they were informed that the doctor had seen something but wanted to perform an MRI with contrast before worrying. When those results returned the doctor called them into the office and informed them that they had found a tumor in Wendel's brain but it appeared to be in the the early stages and it was in a relatively good spot however due to Wendel being on blood thinners and having previous seizures he thought it was best that they go to the hospital that day and see the surgeon.
On June 19, 2017 Wendel had surgery to remove the tumor and it was sent to be biopsied. He was sent home that Thursday and on the following Saturday he fell at their home and was immediately take to a local hospital at which time he was transferred downtown. Once they got to Methodist downtown Tammy was told the worst news she could hear - Wendel's results had come back and he had been diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma and was given 13 months to survive. They have Wendel in Neuro-Intesive Care Unit and where they are continuing to run test to determine what has been effected. 
During this time the family is being challenged with not only the devasting news they have received but also the cost of his medical bills including travel cost for Tammy to be with him.
