We are FIRST Robotics Team 167 Children of the Corn from Iowa City, Iowa. After 12 weeks of extensive efforts, our FIRST Robotics team has qualified for the World Championship in Detroit, MI from April 25-29 for the first time in seven years.
Our team has been active within the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD) since 1998. Every year, roughly 60 students from West High, City High, and Liberty High participate, creating a unique family of students from multiple schools working together for a common cause.
Team 167 members work year-round to promote STEM and foster ingenuity in students in a variety of ways, whether through building a robot or running summer camps for elementary students in the Iowa City area. This year, we experienced our most successful season yet, placing 5th at the Iowa Regional and 3rd at the Seven Rivers Regional.
We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this highly selective competition, but we need your help! In order to compete, we must raise money to pay for the registration fee, transportation, and lodging. We aim to raise roughly $10,000, and any contribution helps our team on the road to success.
