Expand Fatou's Clinic

Donation protected
The Sheikh Tihami Ibrahim Nyass Clinic is a small rural clinic in the village of Kunkujang in the Brikama region of The Gambia and it is the only source of medical treatment for 20,000 people in the surrounding areas. Fatou Gaye, a local nurse, founded the clinic after she noticed the lack of available treatment and the distance people, especially pregnant women, were traveling to receive medical treatment. The clinic has been incredibly successful; she has performed over 100 deliveries this year alone. For all her work, Fatou was named Woman of the Year by What's On The Gambia.

The clinic is in fact so successful that it is now overcrowded and needs to build several new buildings to expand and continue running efficiently. The Kathryn Davis Foundation's Projects for Peace program has approved a $10,000 grant for the expansion of the clinic, but we are still short $2,000 to complete the building project. Please help Fatou realize her dream of expanding her clinic to continue serving her people of The Gambia.
