No Flowers is a multi-racial, cross-class group of queer and trans BIPOC punks based in New York. We have created this GoFundMe in order to show solidarity to our comrade, Fatima, an activist, healer, educator and cultural organizer.
They are the founder of Harlem Lighthouse, and one of the forces behind the Solstice Cypher, the Sweetness Circle, Namaste & Chill, Trippy Theater and many other iterations of community-facing events and workshops. Throughout their time holding it down for community across New York City, they have raised roughly $30,000 in the course of a few years. Now it’s our turn to give back towards their survival fund!
Fatima has become unemployed because of routine abuse and stalking them at their job. They're in the process of prioritizing their mental health and wellbeing after leaving a physically, mentally and emotionally abusive relationship. Fatima should be able to focus on healing without the added anxiety of worrying when they'll be able to pay rent or their utilities while still caring for members of their family.
Fatima will be using the money raised from this fund to get up-to-date with their expenses and will be investing in an abortion doula to help facilitate their healing.
