Father who had a stroke!

             My dad was already suffering from high blood pressure and heart failure, when he was taken to the ER on Saturday night, March 10, 2018 around 7pm. He had a stroke when my mom called the ambulance and he was taken to the doctors medical hospital in Modesto, CA. The first night in the hospital he was nonresponsive, couldn’t talk or eat anything. He couldn’t feel the entire right side of his body and the doctors found bleeding in his brain. The second day he was transferred to ICU where they were monitoring his heart beat and blood pressure. The doctors also brought in a speech therapist to evaluate him. Within 24 hours, he improved slightly to the point where he was able to communicate and regained movement in his arm and leg. Currently he is still recovering with the help of a speech and physical therapist. He has regained some memory but a lot of it is still hazy for him. As of right now the doctors are keeping him in the hospital for 2 to 3 weeks until he will be transferred to an acute rehab center. He will stay there until he is fully recovered and able to come home with us.             As hard as this is for my dad and our family emotionally, this is also very difficult for us financially. My dad is the sole provider of our household, and my mom is currently taking time off of work to stay with my dad and take care of my siblings. The money fundraised will help pay for my dad’s doctor bills. Also help my mom with the house, electricity, water bills, etc.
