Father and Son Covid Relief Assistance

Hi, my name is Brady. I set up this relief fund for a family that is very close to me. They have had a very tough and emotional month as their father, Rick (59) and brother, Dallin (31) were in the ICU due to complications from Covid-19. They both spent over three weeks in the hospital fighting a hard and long battle.

Here is a little bit of each of their stories and who you will be helping with each donation:

Rick’s Story:

On July 8th, 2021 Rick went into the Intensive Care Unit to fight Covid-19/Pnuemonia. He fought long and hard to do everything in his power to recover. His journey was a rollercoaster of trying every measure and every path the doctors could take to help his body recover. After fighting for 21 days in the ICU, he lost his life due to complications from the virus. He was a young 59 year old beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who brightens each room, and was known to be a gentle giant standing at 6’6” feet tall. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his wife, 5 kids and 8 grandkids. He loved his family, sports, motorcycles, and playing lawn games.

We are hoping to provide financial relief to his wife, Joyce, of 37 years for loss of income, funeral costs, and medical bills that will come from his fight in the ICU and his passing. We would love to help take some of this load off of her so she can focus on what’s important, which is grieving her beloved husband and caring for her son.

Dallin’s Story:

On July 10th, 2021 Dallin went into the Intensive Care Unit to also start his fight against Covid-19, Pneumonia, and Staph infection. He and his dad Rick were just a few rooms away in the ICU as they fought this illness. Dallin fought hard and also had a very rollercoaster like experience with his journey in the ICU as Covid is unpredictable and is very unforgiving to the lungs. He almost lost his life on day 7, but through a miracle and through all the prayers, his body started to respond to the treatment and he continued on the road to recovery. He was able to come home to continue to recover by the grace of a loving God. He is at a family member’s home recovering from 17 days in the ICU. The recovery is going to be long and hard for Dallin. He has to retrain his body to do the simplest things again.

We are hoping to help him with loss of income as he can’t work for another 1-2 months, and the extensive medical bills that will come from being in the ICU. We know Dallin’s journey of recovery was a miracle and we want to share that with you in the following updates.
